How to play Bakugan?
These are the official Multi-Player Bakugan Rules:
Their are rules inside the Bakugan starter pack that only cover a 2 player game.
Most Bakugan games are played this way with just 2 players, but clearly a LOT of people like to play with more than 2 players. So here is how to play Bakugan with more than 2 players involved.
There are only a few small changes to the game of Bakugan that will allow you to enjoy Bakugan with lots of players.
How the Bakugan Gate Cards are Played
When two players play the Bakugan game, gate cards are played with their short edges touching, with the owner of the card playing their card closer to their opponent. This is essentially the same when playing a game with more than two players. Each player plays their card "as far away from themselves as they can" in the middle of the field with it touching other cards out there. Here is the layout for a 4 player game...
Turn Sequence
You'll want to randomly determine who goes first, second, third, fourth, etc... After you determine that order, you'll want to sit in that order around the field. This helps remind players who goes when, and is just a good way to keep track of whose turn is next.
Playing Cards
Players in a multi-player game can only play "play in battle" cards when they actually have a Bakugan at the battle! This includes cards that say "play before a battle" or "play after a battle." Cards that can be played outside of battle, like the cards you can play before or after an opponent rolls, can be played by any player. If two players want to play a card at the same time, the player whose turn is next gets the first chance to play their card.
Running out of Bakugan
While not common, it is much more likely in a 4 player game that a player will find themselves with no Bakugan to roll during their turn, particularly if an opponent has played a Doom Card. If this happens to a player, the player may move any of his standing Bakugan to another Gate card that would start a battle instead of rolling. If the extremely rare situation where no enemy Bakugan are currently standing at the time, then the player moves one of the Gate cards that he has a standing Bakugan to his Used pile along with all of his standing Bakugan.
Winning the Game
Winning the game is exactly the same. The first player to get three Gate cards to their used pile wins!
Odd situations
One final world about multi-player games. Multi-Player games have the potential to have some very unusual and strange things pop up. The rules above provide a good outline for what is different and how to handle situations as they occur. If a situation not covered above comes up, the players at the table should take a quick vote or flip a coin so that the game can keep moving forward.

The Ability Cards
Before you sit down to play Bakugan, you'll need to choose 3 ability cards. There are lots of ways to choose your 3 cards, but you'll need to remember to pick just one of each of the three colors.
Here I want to give you a brief overview of the differences in the types of ability cards, what makes them special and some quick tips that will get you on your way to making your own powerful Bakugan strategy!
Blue: Blue is the most basic of the ability cards. The Blue cards are the cards that give basic Gpower bonuses to your Bakugan.
The bonuses are all based on what attribute the Bakugan is, so the first key is make sure you have Bakugan of the right attribute before you pick which card to use! There's no point using Blaze which only gives bonuses to Pyrus, Aquos, and Ventus Bakugan if all your Bakugan are Haos!
The Amount of the bonus that these cards give is based on how flexible they are to use. For instance, Blaze is usable in any battle and could give a bonus of up to 80 Gpower, where Summon Wave can only be used when fighting on an opponents card, but can give a bonus of up to 140 Gpower! You'll have to decide if you want a card you can always use, or a card that you can only use sometimes, but that is more powerful.
Green: The Green cards are very very powerful. If all your Bakugan are the same attribute, it won't be a mistake to add the card that has the name of your attribute, as each was designed to specifically give power to Bakugan of that attribute. For instance, Sub Terra Bakugan tend to be very straight forward and have higher than average Gpower. The Sub Terra Green Ability card makes it nearly impossible for your opponent to win a battle as theyll have to win by 100 Gpower or more!
There are also a few unique Green cards, including one that makes an opponent put an already won Gate card back in play and the dangerous Doom card. The Doom card tends to be played by players using Darkus Bakugan because it gives them a small Gpower bonus, but anyone can use it. The real power of the card is that it can take a Bakugan out of play for the entire game. Imagine the look on your opponents face when his favorite Bakugan is not just defeated in a battle, but is removed from the game altogether!
Red: The Red Bakugan cards have what are called situational abilities, they are really only good used in very specific situations. Most of them are played either right before or right after you roll. The abilities are very different from each other, everything from card that makes your opponent move his Bakugan around to one that lets you take back an Ability card you have already used. All of these cards will likely prove usable at some point in a game, so it's hard to make a mistake as a beginning player when you pick your card, so if you're just starting, pick the one that looks the most fun!
Advanced players will want to look more closely at these cards, as they can make up part of some very powerful combos. They tend to have abilities that will cover a weakness or make a strength even stronger. For instance, let's say you have one Bakugan that has very high Gpower, but that Bakugan is in your Used pile. Your opponent might think that he has an easy win ahead of him, until you play Runo's Throw and all of the sudden you're rolling your super Gpower Bakugan from your Used pile! Dan's Throw in particular can be devastating as it allows you to take back a card that's particularly useful in your strategy you've already played when your opponent least expects it.

Masquerade used to be the number one ranked Bakugan player in the world, before he left Alice's body. His goal is to send all Bakugan to the Doom Dimension (the most feared place by all Bakugan) with his Doom Card, so he may evolve his Hydranoid and have the Ultimate Bakugan.
Joe Brown:
Joe is a 12-year-old boy also known as "Webmaster Joe" who created the Bakugan website. The Brawlers first thought that Joe was working with Masquerade, but it turns out that Joe sent a message to all of the Bakugan Brawlers in the chat room about Masquerade and becomes one of the Brawlers.
Hal-G:
Hal-G is the loyal servant of Naga. He used to be a famous scientist named Michael Gehabich, who mysteriously disappeared. He once studied Vestroia until an accident happened, and negative energy filled into his lab, causing him to turn into Hal-G.
