The Bakugan toys saga TV series begins when kids around the world start finding interesting cards with different characters. They create a battle game with them, not knowing the cards actually correspond to an alternate world called Vestroia, where Bakugan warriors have been waging war. From the Japanese words “baku,” meaning “to explode,” and “gan,” meaning “sphere,” Bakugan are small spheres from a far-off universe that morph into powerful warriors. When the war in Vestroia spirals out of control, the Bakugan spheres are sent to Earth trapped inside “field cards.” Now, it’s up to Dan and his friends to hone their Battle Brawling skills and save two worlds.

Bakugan toys is best descibed as Yu-Gi-Oh!-meets-Pokemon-meets-Beyblade card and board game and is this year's hottest property.

"It's an action-packed game, and one of the coolest collectibles we've seen in a while, combining cards and figures-all with built-in surprises," the spring/summer edition said.

Bakugen toys is very easy to play, you have plastic balls known as Bakugan Battle Brawlers are rolled across game cards and open to reveal monsters ready to take one another on when two players land on the same card.

The mythical battling beasts come with names like Wavern, Ravenoid and Gargonoid. Some are animal-like, with others taking humanoid form.

The Bakugen toys trading cards that help trigger the magnetic latches that open the spheres also help determine the strength and strategy of the brawlers.

What is Bakugan

Bakugen toys is a morphing marble trading card game. In Bakugan a gate between the bakugan home dimension and ours allows bakugan to regain their original warrior form and engage in combat with each other. Each Bakugan toy gets assigned to a planet based on it's power source, home world and warrior class.

Bakugan Gate Cards

Bakugan use gate cards to stand. Each bakugan gate card has two sides, sector and holo sector. There are six G-Power Boosts on the Holo sector side, you then match the element of the bakugan to the G-Power Boost and add that to it's G-Power.
There are 4 different types of gate cards to get:

• Normal: Has 6 G-Power boosts and a HSP score that will be used to determine the overall winner


• Command: Follow the instructions on the command card


• Character: Bakugan's G Power doubles when they stand on their character card


• Ability Card: Has unique commands that must be followed in battle

How may can play bakugan

Between 2 to 4 players can play Bakugan, each player selects a playable deck of a minimum of 3 bakugan brawlers and 3 cards to use. You can have more than 3 each but all the players must begin with the same amount of cards. A players deck may only have one special ability card in at a time. A special ability card can not be the first card a player lays down on the field. The Bakugan brawlers and cards you pick will play a massive role in your brawling success so make sure you choose wisely.

It is the youngest Bakugan player who always has the honour of going first. Each player selects 2 cards and places then in the center of the battle ground on the side closest to their opponent. If there are only 2 players, they each must place a second card down to form the field, then once the battle ground is ready, each player must use their remaining cards to measure the distance from the corner of their opponent's card closest to them, this becomes their shot spot or the area where every shot they take will come from.

Each Bakugan player shoots a bakugan warrior from their shot spot. Players may not skip their turn if they still have a Bakugan in their arsenal. Once a shot has been made a player may place a card onto the battle ground if they choose. When the Bakugan stands on a card, the shot was a success, if the shot failed to stand the bakugan is returned to the player, who then loses a turn.

When 2 bakugan have stood on the same card, a battle begins, you must then flip the card over to reveal the Holo Sector and add the G-Power Boosts to the bakugans G-Power.
It is the player with the highest combined points who wins the card and the opposing players Bakugan.
If both bakugans were shot by the same player, then he automatically wins the card.

When a Bakugan knocks off a standing bakugan and stands on the card, he wins the brawl. If it is a tie game, then both layers take back their bakugan and turn the card Holo sector side up. Then sudden fury begins with each player taking a shot! If both players miss, the card stays and they shoot again. If one bakugan stands, he wins the battle, if both bakugan stand, sudden fury starts over again.

Once their are no bakugan remaining or all the cards have been won, the battle is over. To determine the winner, each player must add up the total HSP points of the cards they have won.
Players receive a bonus of 100 HSB points for every bakugan they won in battle and for any bakugan left in their arsenal. The player with the highest combined score of HSP points and bonuses is declared the winner.

Dan Kuso:
Dan Kuso is a 12 year old boy,who is the master of Bakugan. He loves to play it. Dan is in a group called the Bakugan Battle Brawlers. Dan and Shun are the creators of the Bakugan game. His Guardian Bakugan is the Pyrus-attribute Dragonoid (nicknamed Drago). Dan is crazy about Runo, but will never admit it.

Runo Misaki:
Runo is a tomboy who loves playing Bakugan. Just like Dan, Runo has a short temper and gets angry when she loses a battle. Runo has a crush on Dan but she wouldn't admit it and is jealous of Julie taking Dan's attention. In battle Runo uses light attributes. Her Guardian Bakugan is the Haos-attribute Tigrerra, who is very obedient to her master and powerful in battle.

Marucho Marokuro:
Marucho is a wealthy, 11-year old, blond-haired boy with glasses. He is caring, strong at heart, polite, and generous. He used to be extremely obedient to his parents out of fear, but that changed when he met the Brawlers. He now has no regrets for the past, realizing that he only wanted to make his parents happy. His Guardian Bakugan are the Aquos-attribute Preyas and the Haos Angelo/Pyrus Diablo Preyas.

Julie Makimoto:
Julie lives near Bakugan Valley. She's 12 years old and is in love with Billy{since Dan and Runo became boyfriend and girlfriend} of the Battle Brawlers and tries to stay happy even when the worst has happened (for example, when Billy ended up under the control of Masquerade), her acting happy after something terrible happened is generally just to cover up her real feelings.

Shun Kazami:
Shun is a strong, silent, cool type 12-year-old. He is the former 1st ranked Bakugan player. He is a master of Bakugan, and also is Dan's childhood friend. Shun is a loner, a boy of very few words, yet is willing to help his friends at every turn. He approaches the game like a ninja. Shun's Guardian Bakugan is the Ventus-attribute Skyress whom Shun received from his comatose mother.

Alice Gehabich:
Alice is a 14 year old girl from Moscow who didn't play Bakugan until her identity of Masquerade had disappeared from her body. Upon his departure, Masquerade left her the Darkus-attribute Hydranoid. Michael Gehabich is her grandfather, but after learning that her grandfather became Hal-G and works with Naga, she constantly worried about him. Alice usually just gives advice to the brawlers, instead of battling.

Masquerade:
Masquerade used to be the number one ranked Bakugan player in the world, before he left Alice's body. His goal is to send all Bakugan to the Doom Dimension (the most feared place by all Bakugan) with his Doom Card, so he may evolve his Hydranoid and have the Ultimate Bakugan.

Joe Brown:
Joe is a 12-year-old boy also known as "Webmaster Joe" who created the Bakugan website. The Brawlers first thought that Joe was working with Masquerade, but it turns out that Joe sent a message to all of the Bakugan Brawlers in the chat room about Masquerade and becomes one of the Brawlers.

Hal-G:
Hal-G is the loyal servant of Naga. He used to be a famous scientist named Michael Gehabich, who mysteriously disappeared. He once studied Vestroia until an accident happened, and negative energy filled into his lab, causing him to turn into Hal-G.
